What kind of behavior is perfectionism?
In psychology, perfectionism is described as personality disposition where individual strives for certain precision and flawlessness at his tasks, associated by concerns regarding other people’s evaluation.

Acting according to principles of perfectionism can indicate that individual is suffering from OCD, because he often devotes focus to specific details that makes no sense at all in reality. Indeed, a person is actually keeping himself busy with engaging in important tasks where he tries to achieve certain perfection, instead of giving focus to important objectives that play key role in overall success.
Many people are obsessed with their physical appearances and tend to achieve perfect bodies in order to develop desirable self-esteem. They simply believe that can’t be successful or socially acceptable due to their physical appearance and search for different excuses where they usually exaggerate to reach perfect condition on particular subject.
Perfectionism is linked with depression, anxiety and eating disorder
A study made in 2008 in Italy found that most people with depression, anxiety and eating disorder have problems related with perfectionism. High levels of perfectionism have been observed in individuals with major depression, anxiety disorders and eating disorders. My view is always find the truth not analyze symptoms. The main conclusion of this study tell us that people escape through different obsessions while cover their root problems. They perform activities related with perfection because they they won’t to mask their true cause subconsciously. Perfectionism is an obsession that have no real purpose for individual’s life. It is an intrusive behavior that is often linked with stress from childhood.
Peferctionism is linked with OCD and Agoraphobia
As predicted, patients with OCD had significantly elevated scores on Total Perfectionism, Concern Over Mistakes, and Doubts About Actions compared to non-patients controls. How to cure perfectionism obsessions?
Who is responsible for obsessive formulas in your mind related to perfectionism? Was someone from your parents too hard with you in your childhood? Many people weere raised in stressful conditions, loaded with duties from their parents. If these children had fear for not performing certain objectives correctly, it is completely clear that these behavior will develop obsesive compulsive disorder in later stages of their life. If parents do not give their children punishment, they can adapt certain rules or behavior without fear. These children will never develop any mental disease compared to those who got hard and obsessive parents.
People who suffer from OCD, have developed a habit that is interconnected with other obsessions and compulsions. Typically OCD sufferers tend to achieve perfectionism with every aspect, whether it is connected with their intrusive thought or their rituals. Perfectionism is their constant pattern which escorts them usually with majority of their tasks. Obsessions are hard to be eliminated due to their supportive connections in subconscious mind.
